Sony BDV-E370 Sony 5.1 Blu-ray Disc System [3D Compatible]
This alone Bluray All-in-One is generally a good deal. (Especially in terms of GoldBox Thanksgiving), I use it in our living room to turn the TV speakers to provide for improvement. I probably would not use it. "Home Theater" since the subwoofer is not powered, but for general listening in the living room and Bluray for streaming Netflix, sounds good. It does what it says and that there are a lot of good (streaming Netflix, Pandora, etc.), image quality is excellent Bluray player is similar to the Sony BDP-S370 player.
However, differences of opinion. (On) of this unit, I read before purchasing this unit does not support DLNA server for streaming music from the local network. On page 35 of the manual included in the section. "The game files on the server, DLNA," says expressly that "the BDV-E370 in the United States."
This is very annoying. It 'clear that this device * used * to have this feature, which is why people over to it. I believe that will be removed to improve the software. Yes, I did the upgrade and now it says no updates available in the other, I have not checked to see if DLNA is available before the update. Settings page for the DLNA called "setting the server connection" in "Network Settings" screen is still missing.
If you do not get a handle on this, the price is really good, I recommend the BDV-E570, which has DLNA support and a wireless adapter. I have a wired ethernet adapter, so not a big deal. If I do not really know that this unit does not support DLNA, you probably would not have bought. Now that is already installed and running, I could keep it.
Maybe we can convince Sony to bring the device supports DLNA. It 'obviously a software problem and that Sony does not bother me because I irked at this and say when they do not. But that's why I gave only 4 stars.
Update # 1: Because there is no input, HDMI, and connect the cable box, connect the digital audio from cable box to be included in the E370, you can use your TV to switch to switch the audio video, and E370. Problem is that Sony E370 does not support remote code for the continuous sound of different input, has only "NextInput" so you will need a smart remote (eg Harmony) to You can remember what was used in order to know How many "NextInputs" to send the E370 can reach the correct channel.
